WHAT IS MATCHA & OLIVE?
Matcha & Olive is a curated private community for globally-minded women living in Korea.
We're not just another expat group or business meetup. We're a career-driven platform connecting Korean professionals with global ambitions and international women committed to building in Seoul long-term.
Through curated events, practical workshops, and intentional gatherings, we create spaces where ambitious women can:
- Find real support
- Access practical resources
such as legal, tax, business, wellness
- Build meaningful connections
- Grow with purposeful career + personal development
We bridge the gap between Korean business culture and global markets.
Between ambition and sustainability. Between building a career and building a life.
This isn't networking.
This is community with intention.

WHO'S BUILDING WITH YOU
Serena & Joy
SERENA LEE (click for profile)
Chung-Ang University | KAIST MBA
Serena is an entrepreneur and brand builder with experience across beauty, fashion, and global business. As the founder of K-beauty brand ESOMI and fashion brand Colorful Majesty, she understands what it takes to build brands, enter new markets,
and create value in industries
shaped by culture, identity, and trust.
Having lived and worked across different markets, Serena knows the gap between ambition
and the systems that support it.
Matcha & Olive was created from that understanding , a community for women who want more than transactional networking or surface-level social groups, and who are ready to build meaningful connections, opportunities, and support in Korea.

Matcha & Olive is her answer to the gap between Korean women seeking global circles and international women searching for belonging, access, and meaningful local connection, the bridge she kept looking for and decided to build.

F&Q
Q: Why August 20?
A: Half the year is gone and the list hasn't moved. This is the night you close it, before autumn arrives and it becomes a "next year" problem.
Q: What makes this different from other networking events?
A: Three things:
1. You leave with something actually finished, not just contacts
2. A private rooftop & lounge in Yeonnam, taken over just for us
3. A proper 4-course Korean traditional liquor tasting led by an expert, not a bar tab
Q: Do I have to bring work?
A: No, but you'll get more out of it if you do. Bring one thing you've been putting off: a filing, a contract, an email you can't seem to write. Or just come for the tasting and the room.
Q: What if I don't drink?
A: Let us know in the RSVP and we'll arrange a non-alcoholic alternative for the tasting.
Q: Will there be wifi and power for laptops?
A: Yes. The space is set up for it.
Q: I'm Korean, is this for me?
A: Absolutely. This is for Korean women with global ambitions AND international women committed to Seoul. Intentionally mixed.
Q: What's the dress code?
A: Comfortable chic. You're on a rooftop, but you're also opening your laptop, so dress for both.
Q: Can I bring someone?
A: Women only. If your +1 fits the profile (career-driven, ambitious, building in Seoul), she can RSVP separately, but seats are very limited so don't wait.
Q: What if I can't make it?
A: Email matchanolive@gmail.com. We'll refund or transfer your spot up until August 18. After that the venue and tasting are already paid for, so we can only transfer if we have a waitlist.
